Casselberry, FL Golf

With its location in the golf rich area of Greater Orlando, Casselberry is convenient to many area golf courses.  The area has public, private and semi-private courses that offer excellent golfing, social events, and special programs for the entire family.  Casselberry has two local courses.  The Country Club at Deer Run was named a Top 100 golf course by GolfLink magazine.  This par 72 golf and country club ranked 73rd out of 20,000 golf courses nationwide.  For a fun but less taxing round of golf, the Casselberry Golf Club offers a par 69 course with several water features to challenge all skill levels.  

In nearby Longwood, a local classic is the Rolling Hills Golf Club.  Originally opened in 1926, Rolling Hills has 18-holes of classically designed golf.  The club offers dining, social events and programs for golfers at all skill levels.  The Wekiva Golf Club is an 18 hole, public course located in a beautiful community near Wekiwa Springs and the Wekiva River.  Longwood’s most prestigious golf course is the Tom Fazio designed, Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes. This private course is distinguished as the area’s only Audubon International Signature Certified Sanctuary.  The course hosts U.S. Open Qualifiers at various times throughout the year.      

Other area courses include the Sweetwater Golf and Country Club which offers members 18 holes on a par 72 golf course in the middle of the Wekiva area.  With 27 holes on 3 separate and distinct courses, Errol Estate Country Club provides a challenge for golfers at any skill level. This course is open to the public but the majority of players are members. 

During the spring, the PGA tour comes to Orlando for the Arnold Palmer Invitational at the internationally respected Bay Hill Golf Club.  The Walt Disney World resort hosts the Children’s Miracle Network Classic in the fall bringing international golf superstars to the area for a challenge on the Palm and Magnolia golf courses.
